Something that has been annoying me for a while are all the fake yoga sites on the web. When I’m browsing the web, I sometimes click on them to find a computer generated blog entry. I won’t link to them as I don’t want those sites to get anymore attention. But I feel they are offensive to all the yoga folks trying to write quality content for their blogs.

Vodka and yoga? If you haven’t seen it yet, it is a photo collection of Russian drunks performing sober asanas.
Bikram has to pay a big fine over in New York and says he will move his headquarters over to Honolulu. Hawaii will be hot!
More food for your ipod: Yogadownload.com is another yoga mp3 class studio. We are starting to have a choice. Does anyone have a favorite already?

critical yoga review

Even though this is a pretty old article, it sheds a very critical look on Brikram Yoga. By linking to this article, I’m not saying I’m anti-Bikram or whatever. I just think that copyrighting yoga poses makes no sense.
About Yoga uploaded an illustrated guide to yoga props. It comes in handy if you don’t know what a yoga mat looks like haha.
I knew there are yogis who are said to come off the ground while in trance. But aerial yoga is taking it one step further. Starting point is the air.

Give me my weekly yoga review!

A day later, but here we go with another weekly yoga review.
The Washington Post is on a roll with two yoga articles this week. One is called “Who, Me? A yogi?” It’s another story about how yoga can transform your life. The other article is “On the Mall, A Flock of Yogis” It’s about a 1000 people doing yoga on the Mall.

Yoga for high flyers and strength

I just came across ayurvedic talk, a discussion forum on off course ayur veda. One of the posts I looked at dealt with the high flying executive and yoga. Lubricating your joints while hopping from one meeting to the other…
Another yoga community I recently visited was yogamates.com. I first expected it to be a dating website, but was wrong. They have yogatv, a shop and a yoga village.
It has been questioned by many, can you become strong by doing yoga? Or should you just stick with old fashioned weight lifting? Uncommon Body sheds light on this issue.

We have got five links for this weekend. First of all the news that Jennifer Aniston, a yoga junkie, will help out a friend of hers with producing a yoga video.
Yoga is entering the fitness world, how? Have a look at these five excercises to train your yoga abs.
